I would have to say this is a wonderful time of year with lots of baking and cooking and joy all around... but it is also new for our little family. We have two kids now and we are actually decorating and celebrating the Roy 'ol way this year. Paul bought a live tree with a root ball so we can plant it in honor of our children on our land. Lukas had so much fun decorating it and Elsie just likes looking at the lights. It's so cute! Although I'm busy with two small children and working on my Masters I still made some yummy foodie bags to pass out to friends, family, and neighbors. It was fun making truffles, banana bread, apple bread, cookies, and I put little jars of apple butter in the bags too. It makes me feel good to pass these out to people. It pleases me to please the palate. Paul thinks I should start a business... maybe some day. I would love making food... but I think I like it more when it is not required of me to do so. I do hope it snows for Christmas and we have a 'tender Tennessee Christmas', but I will be happy with a brown Christmas as long as we are together as a family. I just love celebrating this Christmas season because Lukas is loving it so much. That is what brings joy to families is little children. Little children are so wonderful and should remind us every day of how we should live.
This time of year I am reminded once again of how God sent his son to live for us and then die for us. It is such a wonderful promise. I can't wait for Jesus' soon return! I pray that we all live for Him each and every day!

10 years already?!
It was 10 years ago that Paul & I met at Southern Adventist University. And in honor of our 10 years together I'm actually going to start blogging. I really don't have time for this but it's a great way to keep in touch with family and friends and share our joy with those we love! So much has happened in the past 10 years. When Paul & I met we were both in college working on our dreams and goals independently and now we are working on our goals as a family. How exciting to have accomplished so much in 10 years and to have our own little family now. We said our vows together July 21, 2002 and have the most beautiful marriage and relationship. We welcomed many new things into our lives including buying our 1st house together, raising 2 crazy dogs (that will teach a person how to be patient) and many more fun things! We welcomed our 1st child on July 22, 2008 our sweet and handsome son Lukas Friedrich Roy! And we welcomed our 2nd child on August 31, 2010 our sweet beautiful Elsie Marguerite Roy! What a joy our children are to us and it makes our family complete to have kids!
Paul is currently working as an Environmental Inspector and really enjoys his work. He is working on getting his farming dream going and we have 10 acres to start with and hopefully and prayfully the Lord will provide more for us to rent to farm on. Julie is currently staying at home with the kids being a homemaker and working on her Masters in Public Health through Walden University.
Enjoy our little blog as we share our joys with you!
Blessings!
